I started scouting in the fall of 2004 when my oldest son joined Pack 85 as a Tiger Cub. Since then, I have been a Den Leader every year, CubMaster in 2009-2010 and currently serve as Assistant CubMaster and Technology Co-Chair in our Pack Committee. I believe in the character and values scouting teaches and joined scouting to spend more time with my sons. We have had a blast over the past several years and made many great friends. I recently completed advanced leadership training in BALOO and Wood Badge with some of my fellow leaders, because every scout deserves a trained leader.

I began scouting in the Winter of 2010 shortly after my son enrolled as a Tiger in Pack 85. Little did I know the whirlwind I stepped into when I agreed to become a leader, but I have no regrets. It has been a fun time and I have made many friends and contacts. Since joining Pack 85 as an Assistant Tiger Den Leader, I have completed several leadership courses including BALOO, Woodbadge and Trainer's Edge. Currently I am an Assistant Den Leader in the Wolf Den and I also serve as the Pack Trainer. The single most rewarding aspect of my time as a leader has been working with the boys and seeing them grow and achieve success.
